The Battle

"i think we should meet them were we know the land best and if we hide and suprise"silverfangs spoke as nita setteleed her self down to sleef as silverfangs walked over to wizard wolf and spoke to him. stani waled over to nita and laid next to her to help keep her warm while she slept.

Wizard Wolf and Silverfangs talked in mental whispers:
Silver: do you know of a place where we might surprise the oncoming wolf pack?
WW: There is place where there is a gully deep enough to defend and where some of us could wait above the rest and have the advantage of high ground. It is called "Claw Cut" and is close by.

silver knoddedto wizard wolf as she walked over to bus and wispeded the message to him and stani jioning nita as she slept.

They all spent the night in restless slumber but finally got some much needed sleep.

Wizard Wolf awoke with a start as he sensed the other pack some distance away. He quickly aroused the Lone Pack "Quickly, we must hasten to the Claw Cut to prepare for their arrival".
The others shook the dew off their fur and started to organize. Nita woke up last but was quickly ready to run. The group moved as fast as they could manage with Bus bringing up the rear. He was fast but not quite as fast the wolves.

They reached the Cut and WW started to organize the team.
"The entrance to the gully is clear and is visible from the south so, hopefully, anyone coming for us will come toward there and meet us at the entrance.
Not too far inside the entrance is a Shallow cave with a narrow opening for Nita to defend with her torch. Also good cover for any injured if need be while she tends to them.
The higher sides have thick brush where Lupo ans Stani can hide while Bus, Silver and I can meet the intruders.

nita startted a small fire behind her and lit her torch keeping the fire gowing she knelled at the gully's entrance stanti did as told her jioned lupo in the bushes and silver turned to wizzard wolf and siad "if she see's me first shell foget about the others and even if it is a trap she will fall for it."

lathna came with her groop walking proudly to the pack's clearing only to find them not there she smelt the air and audimaddily picking up there sentbut more as well."so sister youre not complitly helpless,LEts go" she told the other elete wolves as she notced her sister in a ditch not caring if it was a trap she yelled "you all have youre orders finish them to save the pups in the pack charge" she charrged as the others fowoled. one of the elete wolves ran ahead as he stoped at the beging of the duch and siad dryly "suffer" a light spilled from his body callencig tho power of siler lupo and stani luckfully it didnt reach nita at allas the other ran onto the area thet had been affected as there abbilites were afacted as well.

Leathna and Silverfangs met and began their battle. Wizard Wolf easily downed one of the "elite" wolves as he was much larger. He went after another and bit harshly into his fore leg. Bus grabbed two other wolves, one in each giant paw and banged their heads together effectively knocking them out. By this time Lupo and Stani jumped from the edge of the gully and began assisting the rest of the pack. One of the elite wolves tore harshly at Stani causing deep gashes near his ear and left side. WW saw this and twitched his ears causing a repelling spell to throw the attacker clear of the injured Stani. "Come clear" Nita yelled to Stani. "into the cave". Stani crawled in away from the battle.  
Silver and Leathna were having a fierce battle. They looked to WW like they were evenly matched. But he had little time to concern himself as he was having to fight an elite wolf bigger than himself. The elite wolf had pinned WW to the ground and looked him in the eye."Now I have you, you scrawny black make-believe  wizard" Growled the elite. "Bad move" thought WW as he glared into the attackers eyes. Hypnotically projecting powerful thoughts into the mind of the elite. >YOU ARE NOT BRAVE-YOU ARE AFRAID OF THIS WIZARD-YOU WILL FEEL WEAK AND WILL LET HIM GO AND RUN FAR AWAY AND NOT WANT TO JOIN LEATHNA EVER AGAIN<
With that the attacker eased off WW and backed slowly, and than faster away from the battle.

"dont you relize sister youre lies will never work on me" silverfang growlled deeply catching everyone's attion as she counted "you know i will never fall at youre mercy sister mabye you never understood the power of my own willl sisster evsen whith him here even you are limited." she growled darkly as lathna siad dryly "i see you should know best my battle tattics and my skills i have taght you but i never told you any thing different my sister or should i say abonded pup."
"what?"
"i never told you that you are no relationship to me dear sister try me you best silverfang le fangsworth nightshade"
"nightshade?"

leathna laghed evaly finaly losing it her age getting to her her mind going black as she spoke"yess nightshade is yore real last name dear silver i will hunt on untill the nightshade bloodline is esxwinshed i gave you corage to trust me all these years to learn youre power and youre brothers to defet you all in the end."
"so... you were just using us so you could finish us off when youre done? huh but when i left and my little brother still remianing you thought you could use my own blood aginst me whell for that you are wrong.leathna" she ghargged pinning leathna in half a seccond and knocking her out hard backing away she didnot breack her eye contact from her she was angry.

nita had finshed healing stani as she notced what all happned as she ran out of the cave yelling "stop silverfangs please!"

Taking stock of the situation, Wizard Wolf noted that Bus had knocked two of the elite out cold and that the Large which he had hypnotized had run clear of the battle. Lupo was engaged with another of the elite so Stani rushed to his aid. "Need a hand friend" growled Stani as the two double teamed the elite and quickly backed him into a corner. "I recognize this bad-ass "Stani Growled" He is no match for the two of us." The elite saw his chances fade and he growled "I warned Leathna that the wizard was a powerful foe but she wouldn't listen. I was unwilling to get into this fight but she threatened me with a fight with her so I had to come. Let me go and I will find another pack where they are more peaceful." Lupo growled What do you think Stani?"

"I should finish this coward off right now." Stani said. "But if he gives his word on the "Code of the Wolf" honor that he will not bother us again we should let him retreat like his large friend did after Wizard Wolf scared him off" Lupo growled " Than Be Gone or we will tear you limb-from-limb and feed you to the bear". The elite ran off "I've never a wolf run so fast" Stani said. "I think we made our point."
They looked around to see Bus carrying a good size branch backing the last elite away. The elite turned to run but was surprised to see Wizard Wolf coming at him from the other direction. "Now you will see how strong The Lone Pack can be. Run away with your other weak and cowardly friends or we will make wolfbergers out of your silly hide.

the last elete wolf's ears went up in alarm as he spiinted away toward lupo and stani leping over them he ran cancling his abbility to stop the others and as silver fangs relized this she charggedbut at that verry momment nita ran inbetween the two wolves she stopped not wanting to hurt nita.

"sinking so low a human has to stop you!" leathna yelled
"empty words unlike you i have realized you that i see now you are fighting all alone give up elder" silverfang spoke
"never"leathna growed and ghargged leping at nita but un expectedly kanita appered in front of nita and hissed "you honestly think i left you have another thing coming." she jumped into leathna's stomich causing her to fall back and roll hard kanita hit a bolder after shortly landing with leathna and was knocked out.

As the Lone Pack gathered around Leathna and Silver, Wizard Wolf gave a great HOWL and stopped everyone cold. "Leathna, it is useless to fight on. Two of your alleged "Elite" wolves are out cold and the other three have fled in cowardly defeat. And now that your "Power Cancelling" wolf is no longer within range, we are ALL capable of bringing you to your knees. Your plan to rid yourself of the Nightshade bloodline has failed."

she growled harshly ans she spoke "oh wizard wolf you simply dont understand me do you?"
"YOU FEAMALE DOG!" kanita hissed loudly as she stood and growled hasshly
"yes tamable kitty caty"leathna spoke
"you are not worth my time with him here farewell" she hised and vanshed
"who?..."leathna stratted to say as her eyes widdinded as she turnned her head towark a unknown wolf she couldnt speak "you can never kill the nightshades off" he growled as he wegged his way though past WW grabbed leathna's mane and spoke "sorry about her wizard wolf my kin silverfangs and you to stani i was bulding up my power good day" he dragged her away with leathna waliing "no please dont take me away i was almost finshd i almost completed my goal no!"
kanita reappered next to WW saying "whell that the last of her you will be seeing"
both silver and stani had the same expresion saying "that was our father."
